Obituary for Glen Sebastian FRYFOGEL

FRYFOGEL: Glen Sebastian, 97, of Tavistock, passed away peacefully at the Maples Home for Seniors, Tavistock on Saturday, December 31st 2022.

He was born in South Easthope Township, Perth County on March 31st 1925, a son of Amos Sebastian Fryfogel and the former Jessie Mae Bell. Glen had operated a dairy farm in North Easthope Township for most of his lifetime; was a founding member of the North Easthope Antique Tractor Club; a member of the former Lingelbach United Church and currently a member of Grace United Church in Tavistock. Glen was the oldest surviving member of the Sebastian Fryfogel family.

Glen married the former Bernice Marie Pletsch on June 1st 1946. She predeceased him on December 30th 1998. He was also predeceased by his son, Ronald Glen Fryfogel in 1954 and by his daughter, Brenda Bernice Fryfogel in 1963.

Glen is survived by three children Marcia Bender (Eugene), Linda Fryfogel, Randy Fryfogel (Krista McIntosh); he was the proud “Grandpa/Gramps” of five grandchildren, Amanda Francois (Shane), Adam Bender (Meghan), Eric Bender (Jillian Colby), Tanner Fryfogel (Brittany Bushfield), Reanne Walters (Tylor); the “Great Grandpa” to two great grandsons, Beckett Francois and Dawson Walters; his sister-in-law, Margaret Pletsch.

Besides his wife and children he was predeceased by his brother, Willis Fryfogel and wife Doris; his sister, Elizabeth Hesse and husband Kenneth; his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Laverne, Reta, and Rose Pletsch and Glenn Pletsch.

There will be no funeral home visitation. A private family funeral service will be held in the Francis Funeral Home, 77 Woodstock St N, Tavistock. The Rev. Mary Boland will officiate. Interment in South Easthope Cemetery, Shakespeare.
